Finish

$50.00

Neck and bodies are finished in ultra thin C/A glue. Ultra thin seeps deeper into the grain than either oil or lacquer, solidifies harder, and provides a protection from time and wear that is tougher. And because it's thin, it has minimal tone dampening effect that is comparable to nitro. My hand-rubbed finishing process emulates the buttery smooth feel of nitro, and doesn't get sticky in sweaty hands like poly. For some color applications, poly is used, but only on the top of the body and headstock. C/A finishes are typically open, or semi open grain, too.

Currently all finishes are matte/satin or frost. Gloss and candies will be coming soon.

"Frost" is a flat that appears as the name implies, and looks like it just came out of the freezer. Truth be known, it was a happy accident that I've learned to replicate.

Asterisks designate tints that will really only shine over light woods like ash or maple, and are not recommended over woods with more pigment like alder, mahogany and limba.
